sometimes i just feel like calling it how i see it.Įh.no need to really justify the hate. this is what i'm talking about.Īgain sorry for being a negative nancy, but the world isn't all rainbows and unicorns. My sarcastic comment about being totally sold was directed at lunchmob a couple posts up. your going to call out someone for having a negative opinion on something? and opinion makes up pretty much all of what is tossed around on tgr. a stiff reverse camber ski trumps this sort of design, in my opinion. not a fan of camber, nor the softness, nor the lack of effective rocker. they're kinda fun, but not really for me. I have skied the praxis concept, i thought they looked like an interesting ski and showed my roommate, who bought a pair. (which, by the way, kudos for posting camber profiles, i dig your site) your sig is a link to an online ski shop that sells moment skis. but i kinda feel like there's been a lot of hollow dick riding around here lately, and felt like saying something about it.Īs far as people trying to sell shit, that's exactly what this thread is all about, it was posted by a moment rep, he (i'm guessing) gets paid to sell moment skis. I haven't eaten in two weeks, my jaw is wired shut and i woke up hungover, i am sorry for being a meany. As for me personally, I will continue to use the Bibby on big days and will reserve the Deathwish to days where it's under 6-8". With the amount of rocker in the tip, pow performance shouldn't be that far off. Hardpack performance on the Deathwish is far better than what you get on the Bibby. Ultimately, I think the Deathwise is for the guy that doesn't need or want multiple pairs of skis or for the guy that only wants to bring one pair when traveling. I believe the Deathwish is somewhere around 7-8 (I'll be sure to edit myself once I get the correct data).Īnd it's possible these might pose a threat to the Bibby Pro for a skier that ONLY has the Bibby Pro. The Bibby Pro is at 8.5 or 9 (can't exactly recall), and the Jib ski is at 4 (just for reference). For instance, the Bibby Special (next year, The Governor) has a rating of 10 out of 10. For next year, all Moment's skis will have a relative flex rating. I mentioned this in the 12/13 Gear Thread but should bring it up here. but something that should work very well for a complete mixture of hard and soft snow). This desk job could lead to a bitchtitted biff if I'm not careful.įlex is more middle-to-high end of the road (not overpowering stiff nor a noodle. I'm guessing they'll be pretty stiff? News from SIA is the closest feeling to Christmas as a child that I can think of, fucking awesome. I'm on the bibby pro 190 right now, and absolutely love them. there will be 4 pairs to try at the on-mountain demo at Winter Park on Monday and Tuesday. Still a couple adjustments to be made, but this ski is definitely heading in the right direction as a one-ski quiver game changer.Īre they going to be there to demo at SIA? Tree skiing was my only worry not knowing how the triple camber would react in soft snow, but they were just as nimble as the Bibby or Jag Shark. And for a ski 112mm in the waist, they were quick as fuck in the bumps. Hardpack performance was nothing short of awesome (the triple camber effectively adds two additional major contact points on the edges thus creating a tighter turn radius). The Deathwish exceeded all expectations off-piste. After a few days on them, I'm blown away by the versatility. Flex is medium all throughout and most resembles the Ruby flex of the last year it was made. As of now, there's around 1-2mm underfoot and a couple mm's more near the tip and tail. Red arrows indicate contact points of camber.
